One of the most feared pass rushers of his time Bubba Smith, was found dead in his home at the age of 66. With half of my family from Baltimore, I always followed the Colts. In Bubba’s day, they were awesome. Gerry Sandusky at WBAL provided a few thoughts on Bubba’s passing as does Andy Barall at the New York Times including how Smith never got over the Colts loss in Super Bowl 3.
Bubba will always be remembered for his football prowess and his acting but, I really thought growing up he was awesome in the Miller Lite commercials back when they were funny like this one above.
